Our boys love their books!
(Aged 8 & 13- never too old!)
It’s a lovely way to connect with them and to get an insight into those little important moments in their days.
Lovely to have a giggle at their illustrations or funny comments. It’s also really helpful for them to look back after some time and see what was worrying them in the past, which doesn’t anymore, so it helps out things into perspective.
I got two copies of this journal, one for each of my boys, aged five and ten. Both children have used the book in very different ways.
With my youngest, he has really enjoyed connecting with how he feels and identifying his emotions. It has opened up more conversations about his day, so we get to find out what he has been up to. He also loves colouring some of the pages.
With my eldest, it has become a way for him to record how he feels at the end of the day. It works as a journalling space where he can write about how his day went. It is wonderful that he has a place to put his thoughts and feelings into words.
I really recommend this journal. It is a great tool to help our children become more emotionally aware and more connected with their feelings.
A wonderful way to talk about and help children explore and understand their feelings.
Both my children (who are 10 and 7yrs old) love their books and it has become an important part of their bedtime routine.
I would highly recommend the book :)
